Ingredients

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Wash the apples and, leaving the skin on, core them without cutting through, leaving 1 cm at the bottom.

  2. 2

Roughly chop the walnuts, mix with 60 g of the sugar and the cinnamon and press the filling into the apples.

  3. 3

Set the apples in a small baking dish and top each with a quarter of the butter.

  4. 4

Dissolve the remaining sugar in the water and pour it into the bottom of the dish.

  5. 5

Bake for 40-45 minutes, basting once or twice with the syrup, until the apples are soft and the skins slightly wrinkled.

  6. 6

Let cool for 10 minutes and serve with the syrup spooned over.
