This Privacy Policy describes how Bifit ("Company", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, processes, shares, and protects your information when you use the Bifit mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

2. Types of Data We Collect

2.1 Personal Data You Provide

We may collect the following when you create an account or use the Service:

  • Name, email address, username, and password
  • Profile photo
  • Gender and date of birth

2.2 Health and Fitness Data

To provide fitness tracking and nutrition features, we collect:

  • Body metrics: height, weight, body measurements, body fat percentage
  • Workout data: exercise logs, sets, reps, weights, training programs
  • Nutrition data: food logs, calorie calculations, diet plans
  • Fitness metrics: power score calculations, progress data, goals

You decide which health and fitness information to provide. The Service cannot function properly without basic fitness data such as workout entries.

2.3 User Content (Including Photos)

  • Profile photos and workout photos
  • Progress photos
  • Food photos uploaded for calorie estimation
  • Comments, likes, and social interactions
  • Content reports submitted by or about you

2.4 AI and Chat Data

  • Messages and prompts sent through AI chat features (Forge and Nura assistants)
  • AI-generated responses, workout programs, and diet plans
  • AI feature usage frequency and duration

2.5 Coach Data

If you use coaching features, we collect:

  • Coach-client relationships and messaging history
  • Coach notes and group communications
  • Program assignments between coaches and clients

2.6 Usage Data

We automatically collect:

  • Device type, operating system, and app version
  • Language and locale preferences
  • Push notification tokens
  • Activity logs and feature usage analytics

2.7 Information from Third-Party Sign-In

If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, we may receive your name, email address, and profile photo from those services.

3. How We Use Your Data

3.1 To Provide and Improve the Service

  • Workout tracking and fitness metrics calculation
  • AI-powered workout program and diet plan generation
  • Food identification and calorie estimation from photos
  • Personalization and recommendations

3.2 Social Features

To enable sharing workouts, following users, commenting, and connecting with coaches based on your sharing preferences.

3.3 Communications

To send push notifications (workout reminders, social interactions, announcements) and service-related communications. You can manage notification preferences within the App.

3.4 Legal and Compliance

To detect or prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, and protect our rights.

4. Third-Party Services

We use third-party service providers to operate and improve the Service, including:

  • Cloud hosting and database services
  • Cloud storage for user-uploaded photos
  • AI and machine learning services for workout generation, diet planning, and calorie estimation
  • Nutritional database services for food search, barcode scanning, and nutritional information
  • Push notification delivery services
  • Subscription management and payment processing (through Apple App Store and Google Play Store)
  • Authentication providers (Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In)

Each third-party service provider processes data on our behalf and is bound by contractual obligations to protect your information. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.

5. How We Share Personal Data

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information:

  • With service providers who support the Service (cloud hosting, analytics, customer support tools).
  • With other users: your public profile, shared workouts, and social interactions are visible to other users based on your sharing preferences. You can set your profile to private to limit visibility.
  • As part of corporate transactions (merger, acquisition, or asset sale).
  • With law enforcement or regulators when legally required.
  • With your consent, where you direct us to share information.

We may share aggregated or non-identifiable data for analytics or business purposes.

6. User Content and License

By submitting User Content (photos, workout data, comments), you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, store, process, reproduce, and display your content solely to operate, maintain, and improve the Service. We do not publicly display your photos or content without your express consent through sharing features.

7. Data Storage and Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, hashed passwords, and secure authentication mechanisms. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

  • Personal Data is retained for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.
  • Health and fitness data is retained until you delete it or delete your account.
  • Usage Data is retained for shorter periods unless needed for security.
  • When you delete your account, all personal data, fitness data, photos, and associated content are deleted immediately from our servers and cloud storage.
  • Some data may be retained only where legally required (e.g., fraud prevention, legal disputes).

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed on servers outside your jurisdiction. These countries may have different data protection laws. We implement appropriate safeguards as required by law to ensure your data remains protected.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:

  • Delete your personal data

12. Deleting Your Personal Data

You can delete your account and all associated data through:

When you delete your account, all personal data, workout logs, training programs, photos (including from cloud storage), nutrition data, AI chat history, fitness goals, coach relationships, and social connections are permanently and immediately removed. Active subscriptions are not automatically cancelled — please cancel through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store before deleting your account.

13. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@bifit.app.

14. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are their own, and we do not control or endorse them. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of every site you visit.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy in the App or sending a notification. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
